• Cooking preferences and goals you provide during onboarding
• Recipes you save, complete, and import
• Photos you take within the app (plated dishes, fridge photos for AI analysis)
• Usage data such as features used and session duration

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Personalize your cooking experience and recipe recommendations
• Track your progress, XP, streaks, and skill path
• Power the Miso AI assistant to answer cooking questions and suggest recipes
• Analyze fridge photos to identify ingredients (processed by our AI provider and not stored)
• Improve the app through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics

3. AI-Powered Features

My Kitchen Pal uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) for the Miso chat assistant, recipe generation, recipe parsing, and fridge photo analysis. When you use these features:

• Your messages and photos are sent to our secure server and processed by the AI
• We do not use your data to train AI models
• Fridge photos are analyzed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers
• Chat conversations are stored locally on your device

4. Data Storage and Security

Your cooking progress and preferences are stored locally on your device and synced to our secure cloud infrastructure (powered by Supabase). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase for authentication and data storage
• Anthropic (Claude AI) for AI-powered features
• RevenueCat for subscription management
• Apple Sign In for authentication

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Settings)
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

My Kitchen Pal is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All content is family-friendly.
